Kosrae is a volcanic island with the smallest population (6,600) among the four states and no outer islands. American Protestant missionaries, active from the mid-19th century, influenced traditional culture, leading to the abandonment of the chiefly system and kava drinking.
Today, churches are central to daily life, and the island exudes peace and tranquility. Kosrae's untouched tropical nature offers diverse land and sea activities.
Hike through the Yela Ka Forest, visit the mysterious Lelu ancient ruins, tour World War II sites, explore waterfalls, snorkel, scuba dive, surf, kayak, stand-up paddleboard through mangroves, enjoy island food, and participate in cultural activities like dances and fahfah erah preparation.
Kosrae is waiting for your new adventures.
